Your daily guide to both sides of the Falls

Today's Weather

On the Canada side, expect a mainly sunny day with a high of 10ยฐC, clearing up nicely after last night's chance of showers. Sunshine is expected throughout most of the day โ€” great light for Falls photos. On the US side, it's partly sunny through early afternoon, then mostly cloudy with a chance of late showers, and warm with highs in the mid-60sยฐF. South winds of 15โ€“20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph โ€” hold onto your hat (and your poncho).

Eat Today

Prime Steakhouse โ€” wait, scratch that. Today's pick is STK Steakhouse Fallsview โ€” wait, those are both on the recent list too.

Fortuna's Italian Restaurant โ€” a Niagara Falls, NY institution since 1945, Fortuna's is the kind of red-sauce spot that locals quietly love and tourists rarely find. Perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner after a blustery morning by the Falls โ€” comfort food done right, without the Fallsview markup.

Do Today

Cave of the Winds โ€” wait, that's on the recent list. All water experiences and parks are featured. Today, head indoors for something genuinely cool.

Niagara Parks Power Station โ€” hold on, that's recent too.

The one approved attraction not featured recently is the Aquarium of Niagara โ€” and on a breezy, partly-cloudy Saturday, it's a smart call. Sharks, penguins, and sea lion shows keep kids and adults equally hooked, and it's right on the US side making it an easy anchor for your morning. Plan about 90 minutes and beat the afternoon crowds.

Stay Tonight

The Pillar and Post Inn and Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake is the weekend upgrade you deserve. This beautifully converted historic cannery offers a full spa, cozy stone fireplaces, and easy access to NOTL's charming main street and wine country. It's ideal for couples looking to escape the buzz of the Falls for something quieter and more romantic โ€” about 20 minutes up the Parkway.

Quick Tip

Today's sunny Canadian side makes Queen Victoria Park a spectacular free stop for Falls views โ€” arrive before noon to snag a spot close to the brink before the afternoon crowds build.
