Your daily guide to both sides of the Falls

Today's Weather

Niagara Falls is in for a soggy Tuesday — expect a high of 47°F (8°C) with heavy rain rolling through. Pack a real waterproof jacket today (your hotel poncho won't cut it) and layer up — temperatures will only dip to 44°F overnight, with more showers continuing into Wednesday. The silver lining? The Falls look absolutely thunderous in the rain. Lean into it.

Eat Today

Brass Brazilian Steakhouse is your antidote to a cold, wet afternoon. This all-you-can-eat churrasco experience is a carnivore's dream — endless skewers of fire-roasted meats carved tableside, plus a generous salad bar to pace yourself between rounds. It's ideal for groups and big appetites, and the warm, buzzy atmosphere is exactly what a rainy April day calls for.

Do Today

With heavy rain forecast all day, head underground — literally. Niagara Parks Power Station is one of the most spectacular rainy-day options at the Falls. This former hydroelectric plant, paired with an immersive tunnel experience, puts you deep inside the history of Niagara's power. The dramatic light and sound show inside the 1905 generating hall is genuinely jaw-dropping — and completely dry.

Stay Tonight

The Pillar and Post Inn and Spa in Niagara-on-the-Lake is a gem worth the short drive from the Falls. This warmly converted historic property offers a full spa — perfect for shaking off a damp, chilly day — and sits right in the heart of NOTL's charming old town. Insider tip: book a spa treatment on a rainy weekday and you'll practically have the place to yourself.

Quick Tip

Niagara City Cruises (Hornblower) on the Canada side opens May 1st, 2026, and Maid of the Mist on the US side opens May 18th — if boat rides are on your bucket list, plan your trip accordingly!
